Position Summary:

We are seeking a temporary full-time co-op for Spring 2017. This individual will work with an experienced engineer and will be exposed to variety of engineering challenges in his or her specific discipline. They will become proficient with NJTA standards as well as NJTA software. Work performed will be of routine tasks under close supervision using well-defined standards, procedures, and drawings. Task will be of routine and repetitive nature and work will be checked during the process or upon completion of the task. Selection and application of previously established and specific procedures will be required. This individual will also be exposed to various office and field procedures.

• Perform routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision.

• May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

• Collects and prepares data for evaluation.

• Assisting in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.

• Providing support to engineering staff members as needed.
• Must be able to work in Ocean/Atlantic/Cape May County, NJ.

• Candidate must be a Civil Engineering or other related engineering major at an accredited university.

• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

• Previous design intern experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation is preferred.

• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.

• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

• Strong problem solving skills.

• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
