The challenge? Help provide technical and application support to our engineers and design team. Our Communication/Telecommunication Specialist jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on state of the art manufacturing, advanced technology manufacturing, energy and chemical, data center, science and technology laboratories, water and waste water treatment facility projects. Each day you will perform the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principals. You should be a self-motivated, professional, with an interest in manufacturing, energy and chemical, data center, and laboratory design, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new project
Our Communication/Telecommunication Specialists:
  • Have good communications skills including formal presentations to clients.
  • Collaborate with our team of electrical, fire alarm, and instrumentation / control engineers, designers, and technicians from project kick off to design and/or construction completion.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, utilities, and other disciplines such as architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and process engineers and designers from project kick off to design or construction completion.
  • Perform detailed design for communication, security systems, and life safety systems.
  • Manage project financials, staffing, and resource allocations.
  • Perform quality control and quality assurances of contract documents including specifications, drawings, and 3D models. 
  • Train junior staff in the design of telecommunication systems.  

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • Graduated from a college or university with an Associate or Bachelor of Science degree.
  • 7 or more years of experience in telecommunications design.
  • Experience in successful management of project financials, staffing, and resource allocations.
  • Experience in performing detailed design and quality control and assurance for life safety systems and communication and security systems.
  • Capable of leading a team of engineers, designers, and technicians from project kick off to design and/or construction completion.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and OneNote.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Active Professional Engineering License in Electrical and Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) preferred.
  • Autodesk Revit experience preferred.
