Working within CH2M’s dedicated transportation business group, you will help to ‘deliver the amazing’ and be part of a team responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of one of the largest sporting events to be hosted within the Middle East – the Qatar 2022 Football World Cup.


CH2M is working within the Technical Delivery office responsible for the construction management of competition venues, training sites, associated common domain precincts and the coordination of the regeneration Programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC).


Reporting to the Transportation Senior Manager, as Transport Operations Lead you will help develop a variety of surface public transport aspects for spectator and workforce mobility during the tournament. Your role will also be responsible for International travel interfaces and responsibilities will include;


• Identification of the critical transport infrastructure required for the tournament and developing alternative scenarios to mitigate the risk of delivery failure of critical infrastructure

• Development of transport access solutions at competition and non-competition venues

• Determine enhanced operational requirements for different transport systems/operators

• Interface with surface transport operators (Bus, Rail & Tax) and the Ministry Of Transport

• Prepare Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for each operation

• Undertake scenario testing of the impact of the tournament, operational plans, policies and traffic management measures.

• Identification and developing the operational concept of the Tournament Route Network (TRN) with external stakeholders

• Participate in Venue\precinct transport solution planning and development

• Coordinate and review work of third parties wherever an interface exists with any FIFA project – stadia, fan zones, training facilities;

Minimum Qualifications
As a successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate sound transport operational capabilities with exposure to large transport projects operating within large city environments and ideally within the context of large events or sporting tournaments.  We are seeking at least 15 years of experience backed up with a relevant professional degree qualification.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience of working on international projects would be ideal with some exposure to working within the Middle East although not essential.
