Job Description
Position Overview
- Support Engineers in the Siemens Wind Power Engineering Group with calculations, analysis and
- Create, review, and maintain engineering contract exhibits
- Provide Engineering support for Sales and Proposal activities
- Provide detailed support for technical response/solutions for material dispositions
- Technical writing (reports, presentations, etc.)

- Working knowledge of power systems and machine design
- Knowledgeable in heat transfer, fluid flow, and other general engineering topics
- Must be familiar with 3-phase power conversion
- Knowledgeable in power system controls, Motors and Motor Protection
- Understand instrumentation, relaying/metering, CT/PT, HV/MV/LV circuit breakers, Medium voltage switchgear
- Working knowledge of schematics for control and power distribution systems, Single line diagrams
- Familiar with SCADA and MET equipment, Fiber Optics
- Able to perform/support Dynamic Stability and Load flow studies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with the use of AutoCAD, MATCAD, software codes
- Commitment to excellence and delivery of highest quality work product
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Strong team player

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Junior or Senior currently enrolled in college pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree with at least one year left before graduation
- Minimum 3.0GPA
- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Intern that can work 20 hours per week during Fall/Spring semester and full time during the summer. Work at least 4 hour working blocks minimum (can't come to work for only a few hours at a time, but come for at least 4 consecutive hours)
- Ability to work part-time during the school semester and full time during summer breaks
