Transport & Handling (T&H) is a part of Technology & Service Solutions (TSS), Vestas R&D organization. The department is accountable for developing and maintaining standard work processes and tools for Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines.

Transport & Handling Processes is a part of Transport & Handling. The team is responsible for developing and illustrating processes and concepts related to transport, installation and maintenance of wind turbines.

The department consists of highly skilled industry experts within the field of transport, construction and maintenance as well as a team of process designers. In addition the team includes the technical leads of the area who drive the technical process in projects in close collaboration with the project manager.

As manager of Transport & Handling Processes you will be responsible for both people and technology leadership. You will be driving technology development as well as ensuring a high performing team by continuously developing and upgrading the skillset and internal work processes.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be to:
  • Deliver complete solutions for all Vestas platforms on time and within budget
  • Drive and develop the employee skillsets to support system & product road map activities
  • Lead and develop the team in Aarhus through coaching, target setting, one-to-one meetings etc.
  • Create a learning environment where knowledge sharing is secured
  • Maintain and improve existing products to support performance targets
  • Ensure adequate resource and competence availability to execute the project portfolio
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, and ensure good working relations and coordination with peer departments

  • Educational background (minimum at B.Sc. level) within mechanical engineering, marine engineering or similar with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral).
  • Experience with leading an international team is advantageous

Additional information
Work location will be at Vestas Headquarter, Hedeager 42, in Aarhus, Denmark.

Approximately 25 travelling days per year should be expected.
