The responsibilities are as follows:

•Review of existing electrical distribution lines and components
Verification that existing client documentation is in alignment with the actual field configuration.
•Analyze existing distribution system for compliance with client, industry and regulatory standards.
•Develop detailed engineering designs for system upgrades, enhancement or hardening of existing or new electrical distribution systems and components.
•Develop detailed material and component lists, construction details and permit information to support designs for overhead and underground distribution system restoration, enhancement and hardening projects

In support of engineering design and analysis projects for the power industry, engineers will perform work requiring the application of basic technical principles, theories, standards and concepts. This will include reading and understanding design drawings and technical specifications as necessary to support preparation of project deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluations.

Engineers will also work with and assist more senior Engineers/Technical Specialists on a directed project by project basis.

Other responsibilities include gaining familiarity with and application of industry codes and government regulations. This position requires the use of customer specific design programs as well as standard office production software.

Job Requirements (education, skills, certifications, licenses)

•B.S. in Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
•Ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis.
•Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office products
•Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
•Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
