ENERCON Services Inc., doing business for the Federal Government through our wholly owned subsidiary, ENERCON Federal Services (EFS), provides engineering and environmental services to many branches of the Federal Government. With extensive experience in engineering design, nuclear safety, decommissioning and environmental services, we are actively supporting large and small projects throughout the DOE complex. EFS also has current experience supporting operations and decommissioning efforts at US Army Corps of Engineers and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) facilities.

We are currently seeking a senior-level Fire Protection Engineer to join our Oak Ridge, TN team. Position responsibilities include:
• Develops Fire Protection Hazards Assessments for new DOE Category 2 Nuclear Facilities in accordance with DOE O 420.1C requirements.
• Performs, organizes, and /or directs facility surveys and investigations of occupied buildings area to determine nature and severity of life-safety hazards.
• Identifies and evaluates conditions that may pose a fire hazard to occupants.
• Prepare technical reports citing life-safety hazards and working conditions.
• Formulates specific recommendations to eliminate or control identified hazards.
• Makes follow-up investigations as appropriate to determine if hazards or unsafe conditions have been eliminated.
• Develops scopes of work for comprehensive fire protection surveys including those carried out on a recurring basis.
• Performs special investigations of specific safety or fire related problems.
• Conducts inspections and develops in-depth surveys of specific buildings.
• Oversees safety and fire inspections.
• Performs trend analyses and program evaluations.
• Organizes, conducts, and/or participates in special studies or investigations related to particular life-safety problems, accidents, fatalities, complaints or suspect conditions.
• Develops and implements protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable NFPA standards.
• Reviews drawings, plans, and specifications for new or modified facilities, facilities designated for demolition, processes, and materials for the adequacy of fire protection controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
• Degree in fire protection or a relevant degree and 10 years experience
• DOE "Q" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "Q" clearance
• PE desired but not required;
