Our Environmental Services practice area performs environmental consulting services for a variety of industries, including Utilities, Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Mining, Petro-Chemical, Industrial, Commercial, Water & Wastewater Treatment, and Land Development. We are currently looking for an Asbestos Inspector to join the ENERCON Team at our offices in our Dallas, TX office.

We are currently looking for a Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) - licensed Asbestos Inspector to support project work at the DFW Airport during and after normal business hours. Our work duties follow the Texas Asbestos Health Protection Rules (TAHPR), EPA's National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), and OSHA's General Industry and Construction Standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform Business Development and Expansion, while managing a Team of engineering professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to:

• Perform asbestos field survey investigations, including but not limited to the collection of bulk or wipe samples for PLM or TEM analysis.
• Interpret data; prepare technical survey reports involved with inspections; regulatory correspondence.
• Record keeping and regulatory review.
• Perform Oversight of Inspections / Surveys, preparation of sampling plans
• Determine locations, quantity, and condition of ACM through visual inspection and sample collection, documenting results and document results.
• Regulatory Correspondence; submit and amend renovation / demolition notifications and waste manifest tracking.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:

High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience or 5 years' experience with GED.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in asbestos inspections and air monitoring.
• Licensed Asbestos Inspector and Management Planner License is a plus.
• Additional certifications/licenses for other services, including mold, lead-based paint, and other environmental services is a plus.
• Knowledge of federal and TDSHS asbestos environmental laws, regulations, and rules.
• Knowledge of currently accepted environmental testing and sampling procedures;
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with exposure to asbestos;
• The ability to gather, analyze and evaluate data from a wide variety of sources and to develop related conclusions, recommendations, and policies;
• The ability to maintain a computerized database;
• The ability to prepare clear, concise oral and written reports and to make formal presentations;
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, and to maintain harmonious internal and external relationships;
• The ability to interpret construction drawings and utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and databases.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs; ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.
