We are currently looking for an Environmental Due Diligence Specialist to be based out of a home office located in Southern California, ideally in one of these counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino, or Riverside.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform field work and prepare deliverables related to environmental due diligence such as Records Searches, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), and Transaction Screens. Also, perform field work and prepare reports for indoor air quality and wastewater projects.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to:
  • Perform all phases of environmental due diligence including but not limited to Phase I ESAs, Transaction Screens, Records Search with Risk Assessments (RSRAs), and Property Condition Assessments (PCAs). Technical reviewer experience is a plus.
  • Perform, coordinate and supervise field activities associated with site assessments. Requires local travel and on occasion 1-2 day trips.
  • Achieve client objectives by obtaining information, evaluating concerns and needs, and presenting recommendations.
  • Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and/or local environmental regulations.
  • Write and review all or portions of data reports, project proposals and technical reports.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of environmental consulting experience, specific to preparing Phase I ESAs.
  • Candidates with work experience in one or more of the following areas will receive additional consideration: Phase II ESA's, Soil and Groundwater Investigations, Remediation, Compliance, Project Management, Mold Surveys and Testing, Asbestos Inspection, Indoor Air Quality, and/or PCAs.
  • Problem solving skills and general scientific evaluation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Word & Excel.
  • Must be able to work on unpaved surfaces.
  • This position requires a clear Motor Vehicle Report / driving history.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.
