ENERCON is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join the team in Oklahoma City, OK. Duties of the position will include:
  • Business Development responsibilities will include establishing new client relationships, and maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Prepare and present proposals that include development of work scope with cost/price estimates for engineering services.
  • Direct, coordinate, and manage engineering projects.
  • Managing the Oklahoma City Office engineering staff and assist with hiring.
  • Manage sub-contractors as projects require.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:
  • Engineering Bachelor degree preferred in Civil Engineering. Other engineering degrees (i.e. Mechanical) with significant related experience will be considered. Registration as a Professional Engineer is required. Candidates with NCEES Model Engineer registration will receive additional consideration. Advanced Engineering / Business degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of Engineering experience performing Civil/Water Resources.
  • Civil/Environmental certifications, licensee, registrations, etc. (i.e. LEED, PMP, CPESC, REP, REM, CAPM, 40hr HAZWOPER Supervisor, etc.) are a plus.
  • Demonstrable Project Management and business development with proposal preparation experience required.
  • Experience with Flood Dam Failure Analysis, FERC Regulation, and FERC Licensing is preferred.
  • Significant experience with Hydraulic and Hydrologic Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Hydraulic and Hydrologic Modeling is required. Preferred experience in modeling include HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoHMS, FLO-2D, Hydrocad, Flow Master, Hydraflow, InfoWater, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, WinTR55, TR-20, VTPSUHM 7.0, HY-8 7.0, Culvert Master, SWMM 5.0, ArcGIS 9.3, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with Risk Management, Probabilistic Flood Hazard Assessment, Infrastructure Hardening is a plus.
  • Candidates should be well versed in federal and state regulations pertaining to Environmental Engineering requirements.
  • Safe driving record and ability to travel for business.
  • Some overnight travel to areas throughout the United States will be required.
  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.

Good physical conditioning is required for this position. Applicant must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and be comfortable in remote job locations. Position may require walking up to 7 or 8 miles a day. Office work typically consists of writing reports for projects that have been evaluated in the field or descriptions based on available maps and aerial photographs. Travel is generally within Oklahoma and surrounding states but may extend beyond this range. Overnight travel on short notice is possible.
