Due Diligence Lead - Private Equity Practice

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform business development, client management, prepare proposals, perform field work and review/prepare deliverables related to environmental due diligence projects such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Property Condition Assessments, Limited Compliance Audits and Limited Health and Safety Audits.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to:
  • Pursue and capture client relationships and proposals, with an emphasis on (but not limited to) private equity firms, law firms and REITs.
  • Perform all phases of environmental due diligence including but not limited to Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Property Condition Assessments, Limited Compliance Audits and Limited Health and Safety Audits.
  • Concurrently manage multiple clients and staff.
  • Perform, coordinate and supervise field activities associated with site assessments. Requires travel and on occasion 1-2 day trips.
  • Write and review all or portions of data reports, project proposals and technical reports.
  • Mentor existing staff as needed, to expand services offerings.
  • Capture $1.0M in revenue within first year of employment.
  • Maintain a 50% utilization rate for the first year of employment.
As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
• 10 years of environmental consulting experience.
• Candidates with work experience in one or more of the following areas will receive additional consideration: Phase II ESA's, Soil and Groundwater Investigations, Remediation, Compliance, Project Management, Mold Surveys and Testing, Asbestos Inspection, Indoor Air Quality, and/or Property Condition Assessments.
• Problem solving skills and general scientific evaluation skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Word & Excel.
• Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs; ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
• This position requires a clear Motor Vehicle Report / driving history.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.
