The ABB Global Business Services - Information Systems organization (GBS IS) is a unique unit providing software development and infrastructure services which support the business processes of ABB across the world. Everyday a team of talented developers, infrastructure experts, project managers, service managers and other specialists works on advanced IT solutions to improve the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of ABB business operations. ABB is currently developing the IS Application Development and Maintenance Organization to consolidate and deliver high quality, cost-effective and innovative IS services to ABB business units around the globe. We are currently looking for candidates for the position of Senior Digital Workplace Expert to join our Team.

The Senior Digital Workplace expert lead ensure a positive customer experience and ease of use on all digital workplace tools through owning strategy for standards, guidelines and initiate changes and implementations.


• Responsible to develop the strategy for the end user device portfolio and steer its implementation in countries in conjunction with different IS stakeholders.
• Responsible to develop the roadmap of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Chose Your Company Device (CYCD)
• Design the roadmap and strategy for the End User Profiles in ABB as well as supervise and steer the implementation of improvements in the current on-going project.
• Design the concept and implementation strategy of the Onboarding of ABB's workforce (employees, long and short term contractors, etc) to IS service with aim to increase productivity and facilitate the knowledge-acquiring process to become more effective from the very beginning of a new job.
• Develop and improve the Global Test Market processes and define the roadmap to keep the research of new devices, solutions and software and how to implement them in ABB according to the different internal processes.
• Responsible for the Digital Workplace Security strategy and roadmap. Drive the adoption, training and e-learnings together with Information Security with a strong user focus.
• Responsible for implementing special Digital Workplace activities satisfying business needs. A high level of flexibility is required to find reliable IT solutions under high pressure.
• Drive the Workplace 2020 program, a joint global initiative with Real Estate, Human Resources and Information Systems to define the workplace of the future aligned and integrated with all existing IS initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree preferably in IS, Business, Engineering, Design or Communications;
• At least 7 years of IT/IS management experience, preferably in a corporate environment;
• Project Management experience;
• Broad knowledge of different IT disciplines such as Digital Workplace, End User Computing, End User Support and collaboration platforms;
• Excellent understanding of how process / tools impact user experience;
• Exceptional internal customer-orientation / customer service approach;
• Strong planning, organizational, program/logistics coordination skills;
• Ability to both work in a fast paced and dynamic environment on short term projects and the ability to work on longer term projects requiring extended planning time;
• Attention to detail and quality conscious;
• Demonstrated ethical and safe behavior and high integrity;
• Team oriented - collaborative style willing to support others and ask for help when needed. Interested and able to work in a multi-cultural environment;
• Demonstrated advanced desktop computer skills in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, calendar/messaging, and the Internet;
• Strong customer experience focus;
• Knowledge of several operating systems (MacOS, Windows 8, Windows 10);
• Fluent spoken and written English
