The Siemens PLM Strategic Student Program (SSP) is a unique opportunity for undergraduate college students to gain real world working experiences in the growing field of software and digitalization. We are actively recruiting for several student Co-Op's to work through various rotations/semesters in software development.

Job Description:
Co-operative education students participate in a structured educational strategy, integrating classroom studies with learning through productive work experiences in a field related to a student's academic or career goals. It provides progressive experiences in integrating theory and practice through a formal, structured work / study program which is defined by university requirements. Co-op students receive college credit/grade for their experience while alternating terms of work and school, typically over a three year period.

Position Roles:
• Assists senior engineers in developing, modifying, and implementing software programs.
• Research and develop innovative algorithms to help solve specific software problems.
• Document knowledge (pertaining to the assigned works) gained from research.
• Learn to troubleshoot problems.

Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
•Studying for a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field.
•GPA of a 3.0 or higher
•U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
•Has intermediate knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
•Understand the concept of class and inheritance.
•Has intermediate knowledge of at least one of the following languages: C/C++, Java, Javascript + HTML.
•Know how to research and solve basic problems with help and guidance from senior developers.
•Show self-motivation.
•Be able to adapt to new tasks with little lead time.
