The Camstar Enterprise Platform (CEP) is a global-ready, growth-ready enterprise manufacturing execution system (MES) for control, visibility and continuous improvement. As part of the Siemens MOM portfolio within the Siemens PLM Software group, Camstar's Industry leading Medical Device and Semiconductor suites help manufacturers rapidly realize innovation with the highest quality.

The Sustaining Engineer will work within the CEP MOM / MES Support Team in a technical role that interacts with enterprise level customers, engineers, and managers to isolate and solve complex Manufacturing Execution System (MES) issues. This role will specifically contribute in constructing maintenance updates to rectify bugs for released CEP software and assist level one support engineers with escalated customer issues.


•Apply advanced knowledge of MOM / MES software and platforms to investigate and resolve Camstar software problems.

•Be a technical subject matter expert (SME) on issues involving the Camstar platform.

•Handle complex application issues and escalations.

•Advise and assist support resources to strive for quality problem solving in an efficient manner to care for Siemens customers.

•Manage customer expectations through the lifecycle of identifying problems, isolating problems and resolving problems.

•Participate in coding and creating maintenance updates to rectify bugs in release Camstar software.

•Communicate effectively with the Quality Assurance and the Product Development Teams.

•On occasion will write some sample codes for the customers.

•Responsible for in-depth technical papers and presentations to peers and customer management.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Bachelor Degree in Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, or Engineering.
•Minimum 5 years' experience in solving complex/enterprise software application issues in a customer support or development role.
•Minimum 3 years' experience in the hands-on coding for rectifying software bugs / issues.
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
•Strong commitment in taking ownership of assignments and issues to care for our customers.
•Strong problem-solving skills on enterprise level applications
•Experience mentoring other software engineers or developers.
•Experience managing code and tasks within Microsoft's Team Foundation Server (TFS) or comparable source code system.
•Experience coding using Microsoft's Visual Studio IDE.
•Solid understanding of Object Oriented methodologies.
•Experience with web based technologies.
•Solid SQL Server and/or Oracle database experience
•Experience with T-SQL and/or PL-SQL

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Strong domain knowledge in MES and manufacturing operations.

•Knowledge of Camstar Enterprise Platform.

•Solid knowledge of C#, ASP.NET and Web Services.

•Experience with or knowledge of Javascript and CSS.

•Understanding of enterprise level software implementations
