Reporting directly to the Director, Procurement Engineering, Supply Chain Management based in Pitsburgh, you are managing a team of 5-10 procurement engineers, including headcount and resource planning, people and skill development, performance reviews, and work assignments.
Identifying risk and critical product or equipment characteristics and processes, you designate the appropriate oversight and surveillance plans including W/H points. You are in charge of reviewing and approving Quality Plans, Purchase Requisitions, Supplier submitted documents and DNs.
Issuing and managing supplier issues (Incl. SWO) and Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), you provide process leadership for these processes.
Interface with WEC & supplier's technical and management personnel, you identify quality issues and collaboratively pursue solutions.
Support to project for product realization through procurement and supplier activities; you also interact with supplier representatives and regulatory agencies.
You assure compliance with applicable procedures and standards and ensure all standards and processes are adequately described in Level 2 and 3 procedures.
You are responsible for performing evaluations of Suppliers and the supply base at the request of Sourcing and Supply Development, including sourcing requirements, manufacturing capability, capacity, and associated risks.
You ensure that a supplier manufacturing facility has all the machines, spare parts, material, components and supplies required to operate. These goods must comply with Westinghouse's quality and standards requirements.
Conducting product qualification activities on supplier provided components as required, you also include first of a kind development projects as well as existing designs for new suppliers.
During the design process, you support implementation of Value Analysis/Value Engineering, DfA and DfM principles.
Job Requirements
Experienced Manager with at least 10 years in a similar role, working on Manufacturing's quality, you possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal technical groups is key to this position. Your knowledge of quality assurance standards associated with design, fabrication and construction and manufacturing and inspection processes related to Mechanical components will be the assets of this position. A Nuclear industry experience is preferable but not mandatory. Your leadership skills will help you to succeed in this position, key to our evolution. Open-minded and reactive, you are willing to work closely with Suppliers, which implies a geographical mobility.
Fluency in English as well as in French is mandatory for this position as it implies interaction with local but also international Westinghouse employees and Subcontractors.
