We currently have an exciting opportunity for a PRA Engineer in our Risk Applications & Methods II Windsor, CT Department.
In this position, a PRA Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
- Lead project teams effectively contributing to the technical execution as well as the schedule and financial objectives.
- Support and Identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings and pursue target product markets.
- Develop and support innovation products from conception through marketing and delivery.
- Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems evaluating plants potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.) for domestic and international nuclear power plants.
- Travel to nuclear power plants and industry events both domestically and globally, to countries including, but not limited to, United States, Canada, Brazil, France, Belgium, Germany, Korea, China, Japan.
- Utilize PRA models to provide nuclear power plant operators the necessary insight to make operational, financial and regulatory decisions.
- Modeling of internal and external events, including fire and flooding events and low power and shutdown modes of operation.
- Prepare computer code input, data analysis, performance of PRA computer modeling, performance of risk informed applications including level 1 and LERF, interpretation of results, preparation of final reports, and regular interface with customers and regulatory bodies to present results of the assessments.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Science is required. 
- 0-2+ years of experience.
