We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Structural Engineer at one of our operating plant business/ new nuclear construction projects in Rock Hill, SC.  In this position, a Civil/Structural Engineer can also expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Perform routine engineering design evaluations and analysis for nuclear utility customers
  • Prepare appropriate documentation supporting evaluations and analysis
  • Perform task engineering responsibilities to support design change packages for operating plant modifications in accordance with customer procedures
  • Interface on a limited basis with customers, vendors and other internal functional groups on engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments
  • Obtain results to routine technical problems
  • Identify and recommend improvements in processes on continuing basis and assist in implementation
  • Plan and schedule own work to meet assignment requirements within scheduler and budgetary requirements
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • A degree in civil/structural engineering is required from an ABET accredited institution
  • Must be fluent with the Microsoft office suite of products including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
  • Recent proficiency with finite element analysis software packages such as GTSTRUDL or ANSYS a plus
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry requirements and the ASME Code as it relates to the nuclear industry is desirable
  • Experience in writing Design Change Packages (DCP's), Engineering Change Packages (ECP's), etc. a definite plus
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access in commercial nuclear power facilities
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally if required
