We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Start Up Test Director in our New Plants and Major Projects product line.   In this position, a Start-Up Test Director can expect to perform the following duties:
  • Directs a multi-national team of senior Test & Operational professionals
  • Review, challenge, direct, and manage the test strategy, shift organization, and execute for results
  • Develop and execute test procedures as well as directing other test engineers in the performance of their assigned tasks.
  • Reports to the WEC Startup Manager and matrixes to the customer Operations Manager
  • Requires a background in systems engineering and/or have attained the position of a Licensed/Certified Reactor Operator and must be able to interact with the customer Operations staff.
  • Perform complex Pre-Op tasks i.e. cold hydro testing, hot functional testing, integrated leak rate/structure integration
  • Perform complicated Startup tasks i.e., thermal growth and vibration, reactor/turbine performance testing.
  • Provide site support/supplement training support
  • Project manager using normal Primavera planning and scheduling tools 
  • This is a highly interactive job, requiring excellent communication skills and a broad range of technical knowledge related to either mechanical, electrical or I&C engineering in addition to testing mechanical, electrical or I&C Systems, Structures and Components..
  • Knowledge of digital controls
  • Able to perform system field walk downs.
**This position will be an expatriate assignment after approximately 3-6 months of training at the corporate facility in Cranberry PA.**

Job Requirements
A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalency required
  • 8+ years of Nuclear experience desired
  • SRO desired
  • Startup experience desired
  • Knowledge of multidiscipline construction and work control operations
  • Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field and control room operations
  • Work experience leading to a thorough understanding and knowledge of assigned activities and nuclear plant startup and testing activities (preferably with previous digital control system installation and implementation experience)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
This position will be an expatriate assignme3-6 months of training at the corporate facility in Cranberry, PA. Training also may be conducted in China. This position will require living outside of the United States and will require your consent to, and successful completion of, a post-offer/pre-assignment medical assessment and/or evaluation prior to departure.

This assignment is subject to you and your accompanying spouse/family members meeting all of the host country immigration authorities, and consenting to and successfully completing a medical assessment and/or examination. The company shall provide, process, and pay reasonable and customary fees related to documentation required to secure visas, residential, and work permits, prior to the start of your assignment. The company suggests that international assignees register with the nearest home country embassy or consulate upon arrival in the host country.
