The Lead Process Engineer is introduced within process engineering in a global organization within Environmental Control Solutions (ECS). Specifically, he/she performs the assigned tasks within the local Centre of Excellence for Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization and supports the other regions to develop process engineering deliverables.

Essential Responsibilities

The Lead Process Engineer:

  • Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and
    processes for ECS (Environmental Control Solutions).
  • Develops and/or coordinates Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Process Data
    Sheets in support of design projects.
  • Performs Heat and Material
    Balances for existing and new designs.
  • Develops sizing of key process
    equipment included in a flue gas treatment product line.
  • Designs and understands process
    control logic and its application in project design.
  • Develops and optimizes process
    configurations based upon project requirements.
  • Provides technical field
    support in startup, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Protects the Intellectual
    Property rights of the Company.
  • Provides technical leadership
    to personnel supporting the assigned project.
  • Provides timely communications
    on significant issues or developments.
  • Participates on teams assigned
    to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
  • Participates as a presenter or
    reviewer in technical and program reviews.
  • Teracts with Customers and
    Vendors frequently

  • Interacts with R&D
    and with other product lines


  • Master Degree in Chemical Engineering (or Bachelor Degree with strong related working experience)
  • Proven and consistent experience in Process Engineering with leadership roles.
  • Fluency in English.
  • High level of geographical mobility.
  • Deep knowledge of flue gas treatment technologies, mainly Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills in particular when coordinating other people and/or in a team work environment.
  • EU work permit
