The Commercial IT Operations Leader, you will be responsible for the overall IT Operational Excellence and continuous improvement for our Commercial tools (SFDC, Apttus, GIB, etc) and processes.

Essential Responsibilities

The Commercial IT Operations Leader will define and drive an effective IT Operations strategy and lead the IT Operations team. Operations Excellence includes but not limited to application support, infrastructure support, cost & financial management, organizational vitality, vendor management, strategic planning and driving simplification opportunities.

In addition, you will:
  • Ensure stable, secure and compliant operations of all the applications in scope and hence the continuity of key business processes
  • Support critical business process like MR, catalog release, quarter close activities for business leveraging Risk applications
  • Partner with other pillar application teams to promote application simplification efforts and ensure successful transition of business processes and continuity
  • Coordinate all IM SOX, Functional SOX, and External audits and requests on time
  • Seek opportunities with business leaders to enhance applications, drive valuation creation through IT Ops
  • Recommend and drive changes to increase efficiency, minimize rework and improve quality of data access
  • Influence various implementation teams to assess and understand implications for existing applications and processes ensuring process rigor and adherence to program methodology standards across the business
  • Be accountable for preparing & distributing key Power Commercial application support metrics, project reviews, initiation & execution of IT Ops projects and activities
  • Partner and coordinate with P&L functional and Commercial IT program teams from the beginning of the IT projects to ensure sustainable and operational products are created and transitioned into operations
  • Manage the whole transition process in line with the GE ITIL based framework and TTO process
  • Own the recruitment / performance management /career management of his/her team members
  • Provide clear directions, regular feedback, coaching and fosters team spirit. Contributes to the overall IT Operations strategy


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration
  • Considerable IT project leadership and change management experience
  • Demonstrated implementation experience of Saleforce experience or related CRM
  • Demonstrated IT or related Operations management and change management experience
  • Significant managerial experience in business planning, resource allocation or the project management of implementing information technologies

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related technical field from an accredited college or university OR MBA
  • Agile certified
  • Familiarity with CI / CD philosophy, processes, and tools
  • Established project management and organizational abilities
  • Understanding of the software change management processes incorporating multiple releases and business teams
  • Working understanding of Predix architecture, road map, and strategy
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
  • Matrix organization skills / ability to motivate multiple groups to maintain collaboration
  • Ability to quickly identify and analyze project risks and impact. Recommend alternatives & prioritization's
  • High energy, customer passion & attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Graduate of IT Leadership Program (GE Employees only)
  • Experience with GE processes, methodologies and reporting methods (GE Employees only)
