Department Description
The Field Coordinator, Parts/Repair/Upgrades (PRU) is responsible for facilitating and supporting all area of non-contract, Time & Material (T&M) work across multiple sites including; SAP Service Order creation and planning, coordination of manpower, materials, tools, equipment and office management as required to execute the PRU scope of work.

  • Provide business and administrative support to PRU leadership for daily operations, including creating and running regular reports (consumption, availability, production, safety, etc.) assist with compiling data for budgets; travel arrangements.
  • Manage inventory and tools for each service order with service order reviews, analysis of material, manpower, & tool utilization levels, making recommendations stock, staffing, and capital purchases to insure capacity levels are maintained to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Requisitions and procures necessary materials, resources, tools, and equipment, as well as, miscellaneous and office supplies as needed.
  • Execute forecasted inventory needs to ensure necessary parts are available for both schedule and unscheduled visits.; drive all down turbines part and tool ordering and follow up with daily updates.
  • Create and monitor purchase orders/requests, defective parts returns and scrap requests; support, shipping & receiving and accounting functions pertaining to parts/materials/tools.
  • Adhere to all released planning processes and help maximize planning performance.
  • Maintain planning board to accurately reflect all actual technician / turbine work performed at sites and maintain forecasts, planned work to ensure proactive and cost efficient labor, material and asset (crane, tools) results.
  • Communicate daily with lead technicians, technicians, CIM, and site leadership in execution of site planning and inventory control.
  • Responsible for compliance to approved SAP processes; enter contractor time and facilitate time entry for site personnel; provide SAP fundamental instruction and assist with system problem solving and error processing.
  • Enter and monitor data and maintain site data integrity as measured by performance to key Process Performance Indicators (PPIs).
  • Identify and provide recommendations for planning and SAP process changes to enhance PRU operational performance. Work with personnel, compliance, and others to validate improvements and changes; drive LEAN processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of business support experience in either inventory or office administration, wind industry experience preferred.
  • At the senior level, 3 years of experience working as Vestas wind site business support required.
  • Experienced in working with enterprise resource program (SAP preferred) such as a dispatch / planner, stock keeper, technician, or front desk functions.
  • Advanced PC computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in planning, logistics, scheduling and inventory control.
  • Strong organizational skills with LEAN experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; active and effective listener; ability to effectively influence others to adhere to standard processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in both a team-based environment and independently.
  • Ability to identify problems and solve them through root cause analysis; demonstrate solid analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Solid time management and demonstrated organizational skills to ensure both individual and assigned department goals are met.
  • Approximately 30% travel required, valid driver's license required.
