Position Description
Controllers are seeking a VAT Accounting Analyst to join the Organization which rolls up under the Finance, Strategy & Development (FSD) business line within Saudi Aramco.

The Controller's organization is tasked with maintaining the financial records of the company and ensuring financial transactions are managed to meet the needs of the business in a strong internal control environment.

The VAT Accounting Analyst primary role is to ensure the Company's obligations regarding are maintained and reported both to the regulatory agencies and management.

Minimum Requirements
A successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred. Certification similar to a CA, ACA, CPA is strongly preferred. Advanced certification in taxation is considered a strong plus.

Additionally a strong candidate should have minimum of 12 years of experience with at least five years in value-added tax or goods & services tax specialty.

Experience with Energy operations as it relates to VAT is a significant plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:

To Complete required VAT reporting in a timely manner
To prepare VAT returns promptly in order to maximize cash flow benefits to the General Authority of Zakat and Tax and avoid errors and penalties.
To keep abreast of current developments relating to VAT
Advise management on the impact of new laws on VAT liabilities
Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues
To continuously review and monitor the adequacy of systems, procedures and other relevant records to ensure compliance with VAT and other taxation Regulations.
To prepare an annual report on the activities of the VAT Officer with particular reference to the benefits generated.
To attend and contribute towards VAT meetings. Such attendance to be both within the department, with other departments and with outside organizations.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
To carry out the duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Saudi Aramco law and regulations.
To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
