Position Description
We are looking for experienced, motivated, creative and entrepreneurial individuals to fill reservoir engineering positions based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

As a reservoir engineer, the primary function will be to perform well evaluation and play assessments and generate reliable production forecasts for the company. The engineer will work within a multi-discipline team consisting of geoscientists and engineers involved in the assessment and development of the specific unconventional resources (UR) assets. Duties include well performance forecast, reserves estimate, economic evaluation, business plan development, asset value optimization, and reservoir performance monitoring and analysis.

Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor degree in in petroleum engineering; or related engineering discipline. MSc or PhD is desired, but not required.

You must have minimum of 10 years of reservoir engineering experience, at least 5 years of recent tight reservoirs and shale field development experiences required on well performance analysis, dynamic data management, reserve estimation and economic/risk analysis

The ability to apply UR reservoir engineering techniques to identify opportunities and create value. Ability to work with limited data.

Broad knowledge in drilling, completions, and reservoir stimulation technologies with understanding of multistage fracturing for unconventional reservoir.

Experience with reserve estimation techniques and knowledge of SEC/PRMS reserves guidelines
Skills across a broad range of petro-technical disciplines including: core analysis and description, sequence stratigraphy, geochemistry, petrophysics, geophysics, geomechanics, analytics, reservoir/production and drilling engineering

Good Business Planning acumen. Familiar with field development / economic concepts

Proficiency with economics modeling / analysis software (PEEP/ARIES)

Proficiency at economic evaluation and risk/uncertainty assessment

Experience with pressure transient analysis (PTA) and rate transient analysis (RTA), preferably using
Fekete/IHS or Kappa Sapphire/Topaze software

Experience with Reservoir modeling of unconventional well / reservoir (CMG or similar)

Data analysis experience, preferably with Spotfire or OFM.

Duties and Responsibilities
You will be expected to be able to perform the following:

Conduct dynamic data analysis and performs post-well evaluations of projected reserves and production .

Predict performance and develop economic models that connect the activities associated with development plans to financial outcomes.

Use appropriate reservoir models, including reservoir simulation, to assist in reservoir optimization and reserves estimation.

Monitor the implementation of surveillance plan and serve as the reservoir development focal point for reservoir characterization and field appraisal efforts.

Create or modify, as needed, a comprehensive development plan to maximize value by optimizing well density & hydrocarbon recovery.

Work in multi-disciplined asset management team to identify and develop new exploration drilling opportunities, and develop a plan to capture these opportunities / add value.

Provide reservoir engineering and economic evaluation to support fast-paced drilling operations and work closely with drilling, completions, and production teams.

Coach and mentor less experienced engineers and effectively explain ideas, concepts, and techniques.
