Position Description
We have an immediate requirement for a Contracts Advisor to join our Transport and Equipment Services Department in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The Transportation and Equipment Services Department is responsible for managing and maintaining varieties of light, heavy, and industrial fleet to support the day to day operations in an efficient and cost effective manner to support Saudi Aramco operations all over the Kingdom.

All of these services are provided by contractors, managed by the Transportation and Equipment Services Department and require competent and professional contracts advisors to procure and develop service agreements.

Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you must have bachelor's degree in a business, engineering, finance or law. An MBA is desirable.

Three years of experience working as a contracts advisor within the transport or related industry.

Must have some experience in auditing, accounting and contracting techniques and procedures.

Thorough knowledge of written and spoken English.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Contracts Advisor performs the following:

Assists in the development of financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract services and evaluation of alternatives that maybe technical, financial and/or procedural/administrative.

Participates in the preparation and the drafting of scope of work for various contract services.

Helps to develop status reports or other presentations for executive management.

Participates as the contract proponent representative on the Bid Review Team charged with development of a realistic company position on contract terms and the negotiation of these terms.

Helps prepare the bid analysis or bid responses, negotiation offers, and counter offers for specific contracts.

Aids in the preparation of company estimates or works with the company estimating functions in the preparation of estimates.

Assists, as requested, in the preparation of verifications of contractor cost and escalation or de-escalation amendments.

Negotiates with contractors as part of a negotiating team comprised of Contracting and proponent representatives. Helps to prepare responses and helps to represent the proponent in claims review panels.

Provides or helps in the provision for the proponent representation in the administration of contracts, and participates in the development of financial and technical advice on intent of wording, scopes of service, or other clauses that may impact cost and cost/benefit relationships.

Helps to provide justification and recommendation for changes in the contracting procedure or contract format.

Performs periodic examination of contract administration in the field to locate short comings or potential problems in the administrative procedures or contract terms and conditions.

Performs miscellaneous related duties as requested.
