Job Overview:

The Resiliency Program Manager located in New Orleans, LA will provide management of all phases of program and project activities that range from small to large in value and a variety of scopes that include planning, grants management, engineering, applied science, procurement, construction and /or operations. They will direct preparation of work plans, supervise project teams, and manage project scope, budget and schedule. Other duties may be assigned.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Utilizes a combination of project management, technical, business management, and business development skills to develop and execute business with a targeted list of commercial, state and local, or federal clients with goals for revenue, cash management, and direct margin, and achieving client satisfaction/repeat business
  • Functions as seller-doer directly affecting the revenue, profitability, cash flow, and repeat business of the company through the ability to develop client relationships and lead associate teams in successfully delivering a quality product or service to the client
  • Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders
  • Organizes and contributes to business development activities; manages proposals.
  • Represents the company to client and maintains client relationship within a client management hierarchy
  • Expands business base on a sole-source basis due to proven ability to build trust and add value
Basic Qualifications:
  • Has 10-15+ years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • May manage business support, technical or production staff
  • Has accountability for managing financial resources
  • Provides technical guidance to employees
  • Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies
  • Applies technical and/or managerial expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to employees in own area
  • Ability to anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions
  • Ability to interprets business issues and adapts work priorities in own area
  • Manages budget for own area and allocates resources accordingly
  • Ability to problem solve effectively: resolves operational, customer, employee or technical problems that impact the effectiveness of own area
  • Develops plans and coordinates resources to meet operational objectives within own area
  • Explains difficult concepts and persuades others to adopt a point of view
  • Manages the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • BS/MS Degree in Planning, Geography, Economics, Design, or Architecture preferred
  • Experience working on resiliency programs for governmental and/or commercial clients
