Job Overview:

Lead Electrical Field Engineer who support team. Working with the FE's on site to ensure job duties and requirements are executed.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • The Electrical Field Engineer should be able to perform assigned work with no direct supervision
  • Review/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other design documents
  • Understand project design basis and contractual requirement
  • Develop construction scope of work, support development of schedules
  • Prepare construction work packages
  • Perform field walk downs/inspections to review the work for conformance with the design
    drawings, specifications, applicable codes/standards, and company policies/procedures
  • Red-line drawings to show as-build conditions
  • Prepare/answer Request for Information, Field Change Requests, and Field Work Order Requests
  • Prepare field purchase requisitions for both permanent plant material and equipment as well as temporary construction equipment and materials
  • Develop test packages and perform technical review of the testing process
  • Prepare system turnover packages
  • Develop construction procedures and instructions required for field implementation of work in accordance with corporate quality programs
  • Mentor junior field engineers
  • Proactively identify potential problems in the field
  • Develop alternatives, arrive at optimum solution and means to mitigate problems
  • Prepare presentations and make presentations to management/clients
  • Recommends best practices
Basic Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 15-20 years' experience is required.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 20 years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Candidate must meet the criteria for access to the company's, partners', and clients' technologies.

  • Microstation/AutoCad
  • Experience with any Cable Manager Software
