The SAP Solution Architect - Fulfilment will integrate the SAP Design COE, reporting to the Fulfilment Management Design leader and will be responsible for leading process and system design for the Process Areas. In this role she/he will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within area of expertise, and own the Global design. In this role she/he supports the effort to implement the SAP ECC 6 ERP strategy for the Gas Power.

Essential Responsibilities

The SAP Sr Staff Solution Architect - Fulfillment Management will:
  • Partner with Process Excellence and Finance teams to Transform the business & enable organic and inorganic growth via process simplification Analyze, develop strategies and manage ERP changes resulting from acquisitions, legal entity & roof top consolidations
  • Design global template for the business processes and manage the integrity by acting as a gatekeeper for the global template
  • Effectively engage subject matter experts from the business functions and translate their needs to solutions with high impact to business and/or its customers
  • Assist the product line Functional leads on processes, SAP transactions and other aspects of the implementation
  • Support Data Migration / Cut-over activities, as required
  • Lead the key deployment activities like Blueprint, Conference Room Pilot etc.
  • Proactive issues management and project risks resolution
  • Understand and align business processes with overall organizational priorities
  • Manage cross-business system and process integration
  • Serve as an architect for the Fulfillment Processes and Subject matter expert driving common processes for the function globally
  • Support, advise, assist, guide, and resolve problems for business partners and program team members
  • Ensure conformance to system architecture, standards, and practices
  • Act as a change agent for business processes, partner with operation and IT to drive business process re-engineering for the simple and complex order types of the business to create global standard and world-class processes in the areas of sourcing, procurement, transportation, logistics and supplier quality
  • Stay current with enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their use
  • Coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required
  • Lead in the evaluation / implementation of third party software solutions/Integrations
  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness to deliver and support quality initiatives and to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years work experience within Fulfillment Management operations along with a SAP deployment role (e.g. key-user) or within IT as Business Analyst/Functional Consultant for SAP APO /PP / MES
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40% of the time, as required

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or IT is preferred
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in any additional language
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skill
  • Significant work experience with information technology, with a focus on Production Planning & Execution in SAP
  • Full system development life cycles hands-on experience: analysis, designing, coding, testing, performance tuning and documentation
  • Experience implementing ERP solutions in tax complex countries
  • Global ERP rollout experience
  • Experience with other SAP ECC 6.0 modules (e.g. SD, MM, PS)
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and working with multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to quickly identify and analyze technical risks & impacts, define alternatives to remove technical roadblocks.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast paced ecosystem
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently on parallel efforts
  • Strong oral (leading large meetings/conference-calls, leading and moderating solution workshop) and written (deliverables) communication skills
  • Ability to bridge communication between technical areas and business areas for a full and complete understanding of expectations.
  • Functional experience in the areas of Fulfillment is a plus
