Our client is a Major Engineering company based in West London who are recruiting for a Lead Electrical Engineer to increase management capabilities in the Power sector

Key Accountabilities
- The successful candidate will be capable of project execution / leadership in the following areas:
- provide business development support, UK and Overseas, to the Divisional Director to further develop the client base and project portfolio
- manage the development of Technical and Commercial proposals on Energy Sector projects, focusing on electrical engineering, namely:
- design and specification of low (230-400V), medium (11kV-22kV) and high (>60kV) voltage systems
- specification of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear and power regulations
- cable sizing and management
- electrical system studies
- fault level, load flow and protection co-ordination
- grid connections
- SCADA system requirement specifications and development
- manage the delivery of the portfolio of Energy projects, to achieve approved cost and schedule whilst ensuring the quality of services and deliverables
- provide project oversight to assigned project leaders to ensure project leader key responsibilities are achieved
- preparation of technical reports, specifications, schedules and operating procedures
- planning and implementation of electrical works from feasibility study through to commissioning and handover
- technical leadership and mentoring of a small team of electrical engineers.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- qualified at degree level in Electrical Engineering
- minimum 10 years relevant experience of electrical sector, preferable consultancy
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- good team leader and good motivational skills
- good task allocation skills, ability to deliver on time to required quality
- willingness to undertake reasonable business travel as required to meet project deadlines
