The Ashalim Solar Plant is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team.
As a Shift Supervisor you will report to the Operation Manager and manage resources and logistics required to perform operation, including minor maintenance activities. You will manage the Control Room shift, ensuring a safe and efficient operation of the Power Station, according to the Grid Company demand and the contract with the Customer.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee the daily production and resource consumption of the plant as well as all maintenance jobs performed in the plant.
2. Act as the single point of contact to the Israeli Grid in terms of daily and expected power production.
3. Ensure compliance with requirements for environmental, health and safety in plant operations.
4. Implement and execute of Log-Out/Tag Out (LOTO) System in accordance with the GE policies and Local Legislation.
5. Manage all Permit to Work System (environmental, health & safety) related to activities in the plant.
6. Monitor for efficient and safe operations, ensuring that all applicable internal procedures and regulatory requirements are met.
7. Assure the operation and maintenance works are aligned with internal and contractual requirements and needs.
8. Lead the performance and recording of periodic operational checks and tests of the plant equipment in accordance with GE requirements, equipment manufacturer's recommendations and applicable laws.
9. Interact closely with Power Station personnel, especially with Mechanical and EC&I Engineers for daily activities' coordination.
10. Maintain close contact with Grid company, Fuel and water supply companies, Emergency services, Local communities and other necessary partners.
11. Develop, implement and update operating procedures for all systems using Facility designer's operation manuals/procedures and equipment Vendors' instructions.
12. Implement all necessary Environmental, Health and Safety measures for safe operation and maintenance activities at the Power Station.
13. Assist in the operation of the water treatment plant and perform routine water quality testing.


Bachelor/Practical Engineering degree from an accredited university or college;
Substantial knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a Power Station or Industrial Facility;
Three to five years' experience as an Operator/Shift Supervisor in a Control Room of a Power Station or Industrial Facility;
Substantial knowledge of engineering practices, safety regulations, functions and processes involved in the operation and maintenance of a Power Station;
Proven experience in managing people;
Strong customer focus;
Mother tongue Hebrew, fluent English (both verbal and written).
