The selected candidate would have the oversight of all the test facilities and infrastructure at Component development & testing Labs (C&DT) in GE power business and ensure the continuous operation of the test facilities. He should be able to build Strong repo with the cross functional teams as well as within team to execute and deliver the results on time without compromise on safety & quality.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Infrastructure and facilities Lead at C&DT, you will
• Own the existing facilities at C&DT lab and responsible for setting up the new facilities like compressor, Blowers, Air heaters, chillers etc.....
• Coordinate with sourcing/Facilities/Finance and EHS to achieve timely completions of projects. The project will include cox from planning to execution and installation of Lab equipment's.
• Report out to the leadership teams on the progress of the key projects on regular basis.
• Maintain the inventory of Lab assets and their maintenance. Work towards the sun-setting equipment that is not require (disposition of unused equipment's).
• Effective utilization of the lab space.
• Systems/ Process integration experience
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
• Help and provide necessary support to team member in resolving technical issues / problems during test execution.
• Work effectively within cross-functional engineering and global research teams on lab facilities improvements.
• Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with C&DT policies and procedures.


• B.E / B Tech in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering/Instrumentation and Control with cross-functional teams interaction experience
• Minimum 6 years' experience on setting up the Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering facilities.
• Good knowledge of turbo-machinery flow calculations.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership skills and ability to work well in a team environment with a positive "can do" attitude.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience design and development of turbo-machinery components (compressor and turbine) and setting up of these facilities.
• Experience in 1D flow analysis/ calculations and if any exposure of UG/CAD modeling.
• Systems/ Process integration experience.

The Component development and Design team in GE Power Engineering participates in executing Test rig design and testing of Gas/Steam turbine sub scale components through "State of Art" tools, instrumentation and methods. The team highly engaged with engineering teams like sciences, Component owners and Accessories.
