Successful candidate will be a part of Drives & Structures Team in the Renewable Engineering CoE. The role offers design, analysis, supplier qualification, testing and hardware ownership opportunity focusing on Wind Turbine bearings, rotating parts or auxiliary systems for 1.x /2.x/3.x turbines

Essential Responsibilities

- Execute the projects pertaining to new products, technology, processes and field issues with a heavy focus on quality and reliability.
- Perform design & analysis of bearings or bearing systems including sub-systems such as lubrication and shrouds including detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams for managing the product life cycle including drawings, BoM, specifications check, cost reduction including supplier collaboration and qualification which may also include travel as required
- Coordinate tasks cross-functionally with varied cross-functional teams, including but not limited to other CoE engineers, GRC, quality, manufacturing, sourcing, planning, field support and others to improve product
- Develop expanded analytical capability related to bearing, bearing subsystems or auxiliary system analysis including analytical tool validation and implementation
- Work with external agency for obtaining required certifications


- Masters in Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 yrs. of experience wind turbine system design, analysis and development
- Experience in analytical tool development, validation and implementation
- Knowledge on bearing design, bearing materials, manufacturing processes, validation testing
- Knowledge of FMEA, FE analysis is an added advantage
- Hands on experience on Unigraphics, ANSYS and other analysis tools
