Take full ownership on the structural steel operations (fab and ern) for the delegated Work Scope, manage sub vendors to ensure timely delivery of relevant scope, maintaining zero deviation on high risk activity objectives, keeping in the required quality and in a save working ambient. Ensure proper look ahead regarding design and other relevant drivers and Interface with Cons. Mgr - Civil / structural steel on commercial issues to ensure proper transparency on site execution matters.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Operational
Gives support to
• The elaboration and necessary revising of the Specialized Structural steel Schedules (esp. Temp Structure).
• Determination of Structural steel QC Inspection Process.
• Technical execution expertise for a specific subject (steel structure, welding , fabrication , cutting erection , painting of finishing works, specialized structures).
• Making rigging plan and prepare safe work methodology.
• Involved in making lifting plan and get it approved from SIM on each erection activity.
Takes ownership on
• The Structural steel handover from one department to another as delegated Work Scope (Work Units).
• Checking of compliance of cutting , fabrication , welding , painting , erection with scope and quality requirements.
2. Managerial (Budget / Administration / People)
Gives support to
• Establishing the Execution Progress Reporting.
• Execution meetings (Kick-off, weekly, monthly internal and external).
• Continuously checking and preparing the BoQ for the steel structural work.
Specific Functional/Technical authority (besides DoA):
• Participation in structural steel Construction with Ownership related to Quality and Time
• Contribution, take Ownership and Support related projects to comply with cost, time and quality

5.2 Key Performance Indicators
One evidence of good performance related to each single task and responsibility mentioned above
• Objectives, targets and performance measurements are defined on yearly employee's appraisal
and Project Targets are set by the Construction Manager Civil / Construction.
• Structural steel Program and adherence to schedule , reliability of related Project
• Quality of structural steel Works of related Project
• EHS requirements within structural steel Works of related Project
• Always responsible for preventing claim from subcontractor.

Exceptional characteristics related to the job, e.g. extensive travel time
• Participation in Civil / Structural steel Engineering STO Team.
• Contribution, take ownership and support related modification on drawings to comply with costs, time
and quality targets.
• Preparing CTO and handover the same to other department for next activity.
• Responsible for making as built drawing as and when required and also at the end of the project.

Qualifications (Technical & Economic), competencies & knowledge needed to fulfil the position
7.1 Education & Trainings
Mandatory (MUST)
• Preferably university degree or equivalent in Structural steel Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum - Civil / Mechanical diploma or equivalent in Civil / Mech. Engineering or Construction management
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
• Previous experience as civil / structural steel execution in Power Plant Business
7.2 Professional Experience
Experience gained on the job during professional life
Mandatory (MUST)
• Minimum 5-6 years' experience in structural steel construction and integrated EPC design optimization
• Previous experience as Supervisor - EPC or Subcontractor Company - in Power Plant Business
• Strong ability to communicate verbal and in written English with preferably a second language.
• Needs to be good in the management of tools and other resources. Has to show good capabilities in the explanation of technical and working processes.
• Strong intercultural skills and abilities for managing of worldwide processes, procedures and leading with local management.
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
• Experience with ALSTOM
• Preferably energy sector experience
