The Implementation Services Manager is a specialist within the Power Generation sector namely within Coal Fired Power Plants. This is a key role which requires accelerate growth and competitive differentiation of GE Power Digital by bringing power generation domain expertise to their engagement with customers who are going through the analog to digital conversion process.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities encompass the full process lifecycle from assisting in the software development, facilitating software sales, and providing onsite customer adoption. You will also be responsible for (but not limited to):
• Leading the Implementation Services efforts, including coaching and process re-engineering to drive software utilization in customers' organization
• Providing voice of customer to Sales and Marketing teams
• Supporting development and deployment of state of the art software designed to drive positive customer outcomes across power generation fleets and in the GE Digital Power Plant
• Working closely with Region Sales teams to drive sales of Power Digital software
• Working with Product Management teams to understand where GE solutions exist and where external solutions are required to drive customer outcomes
• Identifying areas where GE should invest in NPI to expand solutions
• Leading projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in a specialized field
• Major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy


The successful person would either demonstrate or possess the following capabilities:
• Significant leadership experience in the power generation industry, including combined cycle and/or coal plant operation
• Experience with Power Generation using multiple fuel sources
• Experience with multiple Power Generation OEM technologies
• Experience with multiple aspects of the energy value chain
• Significant experience in plant/fleet operations, plant system design, and/or fleet support roles
• Ability to travel 50-75% of the time

• Experience with business process re-engineering

• Experience with Power Generation Monitoring & Diagnostic systems
• Ability to tell a complex story simply
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or MBA from an accredited college or university
• Six Sigma Blackbelt or equivalent certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills with analytic and presentation tools
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic vision and execute strategic plans
• Ability to understand customer environment and work empathetically with customers
• Prior experience working with customers who are adopting new software to run their operations
• Prior experience working with organizational change management initiatives
• Strong project management skills
• Strong organization and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, coordinating across multiple sites
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
