The Projects and Services Leader position is a key part of the GE Onshore Renewables team and plays an essential role in the execution of our Projects and Services backlog, driving revenue generation and supporting the overall growth of our Renewables business.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage a team of over 150 Projects and Services personnel in the South Asia (Predominantly India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) region.
• Provide guidance to the Project Management team for on-time / on-budget execution of our projects.
• Direct Services team for flawless maintenance, troubleshooting and service of our fleet ensuring Reliability and Availability of the turbines.
• Work with Region GM to set yearly Operating Plan and Drive financial rigor to ensure Quarterly Revenues and Cash projections are met.
• Work with Product Service / Engineering and Supply Chain teams to provide feedback on performance of current systems and the changes/modification required to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with existing partners to deepen the GE relationship and support the development of local partners for competitiveness and growth.
• Work closely with relevant COE's to streamline Operations in support of Project Execution.
• Strong focus on Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) mindset and compliance.
• Build strong local and regional relationships with Customers, ensure Customer Satisfaction excellence and help in securing repeat orders with our customers.
• Ensure compliance to Quality Policy and Quality processes are strictly implemented.
• Foster a team environment to facilitate success.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Cost out.
• Travel to Sites and Customer locations on business needs as required.
• Work with Operations team to Monitor Cost of quality and provide periodic dashboard to management on challenges / margin erosion.


• Bachelor in Engineering - Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering.
• 15 -20 years of work experience in Wind turbines and / or Power Generation.
• Demonstrate consistently high levels of performance in all areas of responsibility.
• Work efficiently without direct supervision & lead team of Project Managers and Service personnel.
• Prior Sales or Commercial background with strong business and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of ISO & Safety Standard's.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Customer Service and advocate mindset.
• Good computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of Database operations.
• Should have Lead team at Regional Level.
• Knowledge on Renewable policies and national / state / regional requirements.
• In depth Knowledge of Project Management including Project execution including Installation and Commissioning.
