Conversions Modifications and Upgrades team in Aero is dedicated to provide solutions to existing fleet, either to improve performance, meet new standards requirements, or convert units from other packagers to GE's. An Electrical Engineer is in charge of developing the proposed solution and executing the project, managing engineering hours budget, providing Customer support, and creating the applicable modifications. Close communication with Project Managers,
Sales, and Sourcing is key.

Essential Responsibilities

Design of One Line and Three Line Diagrams, Wiring/Schematic Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, I/O Lists, Cause and Effect Lists, Fabrication and Assembly Arrangements associated with Turbine Control Panels and Terminal Boxes, Cable and Instrument Layouts, Hazardous Area Layouts, Battery Systems and the specification of associated equipment.
Development of the project-specific Bills of Material.
Support of Production, Sourcing, and Field Engineering.
Support of design reviews, Tollgate process, Supplier meetings, Sales Tools plus Cost and Reliability Initiatives.
Develop and review engineering calculations in support of active projects.


• MS degree plus 3 years of experience, or BS plus 5 years of experience. DEGREE MUST BE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING. Other background can be considered if and only if Candidate can refer working experience in Electrical Engineering field.
• Self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills
• Process mindset with ability to see how to execute a strategy across various departments in business.
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong project management skills.
• A minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical Design roles.
• Technical experience with Aero-derivative, industrial, or aircraft gas turbine operations.
• Understanding of Aero derivative Gas Turbines (LM-series), generator, and mechanical drive packages.
• Technical Knowledge: Electrical Knowledge - Advanced, Controls Knowledge - Advanced, Intrumentation - Medium
• Excellent English communication skills with both external and internal customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively both to technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired Characteristics

Master's degree in Power Systems or Electrical Engineering.
Previous experience in Electrical components, substations, cable sizing calculations, grounding, instrumentation, and/or control logic. Knowledgeable in one- and three-line diagrams reading and interpretation.
