  • Procurement professional eager to become part of E.ON's journey towards procurement best-practice in the utility industry as part of the GCM team "Commodities"
    • steers E.ON-wide strategic & tactical sourcing activities for global spend categories in the area of Technical Commodities (consumables & spare parts e.g. pumps, valves, compressors, e-components, tools)
    • defines, deepens and continuously reviews E.ON's sourcing strategy for global categories in these areas (Category Strategy) regarding saving potentials, standardisation of specifications, new sourcing channels and supplier development;
    • promotes and drives cross-functional and cross-border cooperation in the definition and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives;
    • leads, steers and manages supplier relations within tenders and negotiations as well as in pre-tender discussions, prequalification processes and claim management;
    • develops, negotiates and implements E.ON-wide usable framework contracts in order to bundle spend volume and to support purchase order processing in the regional procurement teams
    • develop, maintains and shares best practice approaches for e.g. target pricing, contract structure, KPI system
  • Out-of the box thinker and change agent willing to continuously reinvent Indirect Spend procurement
    • develops and implements concepts & systems like tail-end-management/platform/ e-catalogue solutions
    • tests and exploits potentials in purchasing alliances

  • Relevant university degree
  • Comprehensive experience in strategic sourcing roles, preferably in the area of Indirect Spend
  • Ability to understand demand carrier needs, grasp quickly fundamental economic drivers and key risks and transfer them into relevant commercial supply chain strategies
  • Experience in stakeholder management-intense roles and interaction with senior executive counterparts
  • Highly developed analytical and communication skills, combined with a structured work style and a pragmatic hands-on approach
  • Experience in project management
  • Good portion of self-confidence and persuasiveness as well as strong negotiation skills and social aptitude
  • Fluency in English is a pre-requisite, very good command of German is an asset
Subsequent to E.ON's planned split, from January 1st 2016 onwards it is planned for this team to stay at future E.ON in Essen.
