Primary Job Functions:
Basic Job Functions:
Manage the Company's accounting and financial compliance requirements
The work nature is to oversee the financial data (namely Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable or General Ledger/Fixed Assets) are accurately and timely transacted into the ERP system and to ensure sufficient controls for monetary transactions, i.e payments and incoming funds.
To ensure timely accruals for warranty, end of life, freight cost and various department expenses and the accuracy of inter-company transactions/reconciliations.
The financial reconciliations and reports are to be reviewed monthly.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
1. Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close including reconciliations, analysis, reporting, cash flow, close package and UFRs.
2. Manage timely completion of Malaysia and Singapore local GAAP statutory financial reporting processes and income tax statutory compliance.
3. Drive prepaid expense and accrual compliance.
4. Drive compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies, US GAAP and local GAAP.
5. Support the US GAAP audit and local GAAP audit with the external auditors.
6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of Account Payable/ Receivable, General Ledger/ Fixed Assets Accounting and Capex Planning.
7. Actively work with ICPI on controls improvement and compliance and fulfilling SOX requirements.
8. Purchase requisition and purchase order reviews.
9. Ensure team members work process and activities are in compliance with SOX and SOA guidelines.
10. Identify opportunities to improve productivity in work process
11. Define expectations, set timelines and monitor performance of team members in compliance with Group policies and financial deadlines.
12. Define team and individual objectives assess performance against objectives and provide feedback to team members.
13. Integrate departmental business / operational process flow with effective controls and ownerships.
For General Ledger/ Fixed Assets/ Payroll:
Support Plant Controller on managing Malaysia and Singapore Company Secretarial matters, ie, Malaysia & Singapore.
14. Manage the processing, reconciliation and payment of wages, overtime, benefits, payroll deductions, restricted stocks, related income taxes and required reporting such as Form EA and Form E.
15. Fundamentally supervise General Ledger, Fixed Assets. And as assigned sections ie, Payroll.
For Account Payable/ Receivable:
14. Plan, organize and lead the Accounts Payable and Receivable section.
15. Review deliverables prepared by team members to ensure accuracy and integrity of data by reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, UFR, 10Q / 10K reporting.
16. Review and approve Weekly Fund Request.
17. Financial review for PR/PO and Supply Chain Agreements.
18. Develop policies in areas that impact payments and receivables.
19. Interface between Purchasing, S&R and Suppliers in areas of productivity, controls and payments.
• More than 15 year relevant work experience in a multi-national manufacturing environment .
• Minimum 6-8 years relevant work experience in Big 4 accounting firm.
Bachelor degree or related professional qualification in Accounting.
CPA is preferred

• Technical:
1. Professional qualifications in local GAAP and US GAAP with strong technical accounting knowledge in FRS and US GAAP to enable technical interpretation and meeting the requirement of accounting standards
2. Good working knowledge in SOX compliance
3. Highly analytical and possess the ability to interpret, draw conclusions and pick up issues from journals, reconciliations and financial statements and related documents
4. Strong working knowledge on major ERP systems in a manufacturing environment preferred
5. Proficiency with the requirements of local company laws and income tax regulations is required
6. Manage all transactional accounting
7. Mange month-end close procedures
8. Manage inter-company accounting and internal controls
9. Drive for continual improvements in all areas of your responsibility
