Job Scope : This position is a site based role which will report directly to the Construction Manager on the MODON project within the Buildings & Infrastructure industry and is based in Sudair, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The candidate in question will be responsible for comprehensive understanding & application of principles, theories, concepts, industry practices and standards in addition to performing work of complex scope. He will need to work under general supervision while participating in setting assignment objectives; work is reviewed for adequacy on completion.

Job Description :

  • Supervise, direct and co-ordinate the inspection team; assist the site project management team accordingly.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with project management team and publish a daily report detailing project status, site conditions, available manpower and equipment.
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintains records; ensure responses are complete and in compliance with the contract documents.
  • Identify, respond to or evaluate technical issues to maintain the schedule.
  • Prepare and review engineering studies by applying accepted principles, codes and standards, punch lists and follow up remedial work for project close-out.
  • Must have experience with Wet Utilities - storm water, foul water, potable water, fire water and/or irrigation pipe networks and transfer/pumping systems.
  • Prepare project documents (calculations/reports) and checking drawings.
  • Lead on the liaison all stakeholders fully informed of any technical issues and/or associated potential risks to the Group as they arise
  • Certify and authorize designs, documents, approvals, Professional Skill and Care Certificates and reports
  • Investigations, site inspections, data collection and analysis, concept, preliminary and detailed design, reports, NOCs, Specifications & BOQs, works/construction inspection and supervision to progress scheme design, development and construction.
  • Ensure value management and value engineering to support Project Managers in the delivery of innovation
  • Responsible for compliance with ARAMCO standards and JACOBS Beyond Zero for health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee, lead & help maintain safe work practices on construction projects that could identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using job specific safety standards, best management practices and injury free environment techniques advocated to JACOBS Beyond ZERO policy.
  • Educate, advise & communicate any/all issues with/between colleagues, project staff and/or contractor while implementing corrective action that will help build productive working relationships with all in accordance with guidelines and policies.

Qualifications / Requirements :

  1. Candidates must have 8 years or more of Buildings & Infrastructure project experience.
  2. Candidates must hold an Engineering Degree Qualification or equivalent from a government recognised institution.
  3. Candidates who have EPC experience and/ or previous experience working with SAUDI ARAMCO or one of it's subsidiaries are preferred.
  4. Candidates must be proficient in using MS OFFICE. Other systems/software knowledge/experience that is preferred: Micro-drainage / Storm CAD / SSE / WaterGems / SSA
  5. Candidates with experience working within GCC countries (Saudi Arabia/United Arab Emirates/Qatar/Kuwait/Oman) will be given first preference.
