This position is temporary with an anticipated end date in January 2017.

The candidate shall perform the tasks below. The contractor shall plan and coordinate program operations for their assigned product office including annual Battle Rhythm Coordination.

The candidate shall participate in assigned staff call meetings. The contractor shall package and present staff call briefings, record actions, transcribe minutes, and electronically store such material on the MBTS portal.

The candidate shall provide services for various operations and activities. Service includes detailed planning related to various complex management projects, issues, and initiatives.

The candidate shall coordinate projects and assure that priority actions are coordinated, and properly executed throughout MBTS to assure timely, cohesive and accurate execution of work. The contractor shall provide program information, analysis, and recommendations to leadership for program actions and decisions.

The candidate shall track tasks using the PEO GCS Task Management System.

The candidate shall coordinate and prepare assigned briefings, scripts, agendas, documentation for on-site and off-site reviews, meetings, and ceremonies.
A minimum of a bachelors degree and nine years of relevant experience with:

A minimum of seven years experience, within the last ten years, with a background and knowledge of planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting on complex programs. Acceptable experience is that which reflects a substantial role in all the required areas (planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking and reporting). Experience shall include:

Interface and coordinate with higher level staffs; Provide program information, analysis, and recommendations to leadership for program action and decisions; Develop battle rhythm of activities, calendar management, and support to recurring staff meetings; Prepare, review, staff, transmit, and electronically store on government owned systems, agenda, briefings, papers, tasks, minutes, calendars, action items, and other program related documents; and prepare required presentation materials and support on-site and off-site events.

Prior military experience as a planner on an operations staff at the battalion level or higher.

The minimum education requirement is a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related degree with extensive experience covering the specific tasks listed in this description.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.

Work Environment

Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Work site is located in Work site is located at Detroit Arsenal, Warren, MI.

Equipment and Machines

Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.


Regular hours will be between Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
