Position Summary

A Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer with petrochemical/chemical projects experience such as designing, selection and engineering of various types of rotating equipment but not limited to:
  • API centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
  • API centrifugal, reciprocating and screw type compressors,
  • Turbines and packaged equipment.
Projects will involve both FEED and Detail Design and engineering/procurement documents to include data sheets, technical specifications, material requisitions (MRs), technical bid clarifications, technical bid evaluations (TBEs), purchase requisitions and vendor document reviews. Carrying out in-house mechanical design related to optimization and selection studies, as well as studies for existing facilities revamp/upgrade as necessary. Thorough Knowledge of industry codes including API and ASME Code is essential. Also need good communication skills, interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet project milestone.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized University.
  • Chartered Engineer status or membership with another Professional Institution is preferred.
  • 15 years experience in Oil/Gas industry
  • Fluent in English language
  • Local Talent - is a prerequisite
