A Project Management Analyst will function as a mid-level project manager, overseeing, and managing assigned IT or continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Deliver customer interface support as the single point of contact and overall coordinator for assigned projects
  • Identify and track project tasks and status
  • Perform human resource management
  • Utilize resources as assigned within organization
  • Occasionally, may acquire project resources under direction of PMO leadership
  • Provide input to team performance evaluations
  • Perform project scope management
  • Lead project monitoring and control
  • Coordinate and track project deliverable statuses
  • Review team deliverables and coordinate feedback from stakeholders
  • Track project issues and drive issue resolution
  • Record and maintain lessons learned to support continuous improvement
  • Perform project schedule management
  • Create and maintain project plans and schedules under direct supervision of PMO staff
  • Lead project risk management
  • Identify, record, and maintain project risks under guidance of PMO staff
  • Lead project communications management
  • Develop and execute against an approved project communication plan
  • Facilitate project meetings and produce/distribute meeting documents
  • Follow established methodologies and applies standards as directed
  • Contribute toward improving methods and practices

The selected candidate must have excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and desktop publishing skills. The Project Management Analyst must be well-organized and flexible, demonstrate attention to detail, and perform well under pressure in a fast paced, nimble environment. An intermediate level understanding of MS Project 2007 or MS Project 2010 is required as this candidate will be asked to generate and update project reports using office and project management tools, such as Microsoft Office and MS Project. Familiarity with project management principles, techniques, tools is a must.

This position requires a BS/BA degree in business, engineering, computer, or system science from an accredited college or university, and five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive project management or equivalent experience.

IAM Level 2 certification is required. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. CAPM, PMP certification, or relevant PMI certification is preferred.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Work Environment

Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Equipment and Machines

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.


Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%).

Other Essential Functions

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain and retain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
