  • Support New Technology development and testing, including assisting writing test procedures
  • Contact feature owners to understand specific aspects of New Technology
  • Understand the required deliverables and respective owner(s) associated with the testing and the PEC and FEC gateways
  • Work collaboratively with requestors and test planning to complete their respective test time deliverables at each of the gateways
  • Manage and track test units in support of milestones
  • Create and/or update Vehicle Specifications to supply to Test Planning group
  • Create and/or maintain all Test Plan documentation to report and communicate status


Project Deliverables

• Create and develop VP Vehicle Specifications for units requested

• Work collaboratively with test requestors and test planning to ensure all testing needs are captured on test plans

• Ensure test plans are created and maintained to complete First Pass testing by PEC

• Maintain test plans for Post PEC and re-DV items to complete by FEC

• Manage and track test units to ensure testing is continuing per schedule

• Update test plans as issues arise - vehicles down for repair, vehicle not ready to test, etc.

• Communicate test plan changes to users and test planners

• Post test plans to Test Planning Sharepoint site

• Understand New Technology for Forward Model Programs
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior test planning experience
  • Automotive test engineering experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work with multiple people and manage a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Excellent English skills (Oral, reading, writing and listening)
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with others
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Project) and ability to work with Macros
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Exceptional leadership skills and proven record

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Lifting - less than 50lbs- 25%

Special clothing/equipment - PPE (safety glasses, slip resistant hardened toe shoes, hearing protection in designated areas) - 100%

Sitting (75%), Standing (50%), Bending (25%), stooping (25%)

Exposure to high noise areas possible in test facility - 25%

Work Environment

Inside, office environment, test lab - 100%

Exposure to test equipment- 25%

May require occasional local travel- 25%

Equipment and Machines

Computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones - 100%

Occasional use of hand tools - 25%


Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with possible weekend and after-hour support as needed

Day shift

Attendance and punctuality are critical - 100%

Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
