We are seeking an experienced Senior Airport Planner to join our growing Aviation Team, working on a number of high profile airport development projects.

We are currently involved in Aviation Planning projects across a wide range of airports both in the UK and overseas. The position will be based in Winnersh (Reading) but the candidate will periodically be required travel on a short term basis.

As part of the role the candidate will be expected to provide leadership and direction to a team of junior and graduate airport planners and to support the Aviation Technical Lead in developing the airport planning capability in terms of staff, tools and training.

Ideally, the candidate will have a flair for creative problem solving, will be knowledgeable of current aviation industry initiatives, will proactively drive innovation and be passionate about Airport Development. The candidate will have excellent communication skills and will feel comfortable interfacing with clients at all levels of seniority.

  • Capacity Analysis
  • Airfield Layout Planning
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Project Management
  • Team Leadership
Essential Skills:
  • Degree in relevant subject
  • Significant experience in aviation/airports
  • Knowledge of EASA, ICAO and IATA standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced numeric skills
  • AutoCad
  • Ability to manage junior members of staff
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Desirable Skills:
  • Post Graduate qualification in Airport Planning
  • Understanding of Airport Operations
  • Experience of Capacity Analysis
  • Specialist Airport Planning Software experience (Terminal and Airfield) e.g. CAST, SIMMOD, Pathplanner, Vissim, ArcPort, TAAM etc....
  • Experience of Graphical Visualisation tools e.g. Sketchup, Illustrator etc...
  • Experience of Air Traffic Management
  • Project Management skills
