In a participatory or lead role, the incumbent will plan, coordinate and execute field assessment activities including, but not limited to, facility condition assessments, space planning assessments, functional adequacy assessments, educational adequacy assessments and energy audits. Incumbent will collect, process, and analyze data as well as generate or write reports and review the work of peer assessors to ensure compliance with the project scope and associated quality standards.

  • Participates as an assessment team member and is responsible for the delivery of multiple technical aspects of a project's deliverables.
  • Interprets project documents related to schedule, scope, process, quality and level of effort.
  • Interprets client documents related to record drawings, specifications and component inventories.
  • Takes field notes, photographs, and nameplate data as well as determines wear, age, and repair requirements for systems and equipment in their fields of discipline.
  • Will have travel to locations near and far for periods of a few days to several weeks as needed to project sites.
  • Assists project and technical managers in the completion of assessment work in accordance with project and client specifications.
  • Contributes to development of new assessment techniques and standards; considered a technical expert within the organization.
  • Develops processes that incorporate innovation and ingenuity for the purpose of creating project efficiencies and/or improving the quality of deliverables.
  • Performs work without appreciable direction and has considerable latitude in determining approaches to assignment objectives.
  • Acts as a consultant to management on discipline specific technical matters.
  • Acts as a consultant to clients related to technical facility matters.

  • Bachelors of Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Structural Engineering or comparable technical degree required
  • 5 years' experience in construction administration, facility management, facility maintenance, commissioning or comparable technical building trade required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and possess capability to self-educate on other software programs required
  • Industry recognized license or certification preferred
  • Multi- disciplined experience with several building or utility systems preferred
