Our current challenges include a significant portfolio of infrastructure projects for the Highways Agency, Transport for London, Buckinghamshire CC and Devon CC and many more opportunities are in the pipeline, including projects in the Middle East. So would you like to be a member of our infrastructure centre of excellence based in our modern UK office in Winnersh (Reading)?

We are wishing to recruit a confident and competent Engineer to join our established infrastructure team. You will become a member of an expanding design team, taking a role in delivering highway design services throughout all stages of highway project development and in all areas of highways design

  • You will be part of a team of engineers and technicians working on a variety of different projects.
  • As part of the design team you shall assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, scheme orders and detailed highway design for major projects throughout the UK and Ireland .
  • You may be required to attend progress meetings and public exhibitions

Essential Criteria
  • You shall possess a degree in Civil Engineering.
  • You should be nearing or gained CEng/IEng and MICE status or equivalent.
  • Practical knowledge of DMRB.
  • Experience of liaising with clients, the public, stakeholders and local authorities.
  • Basic knowledge of project management and contractual issues.
  • Experience in the design and procurement of highway schemes.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change at short notice.

Desirable Criteria
  • Experience of MX/3D Civils would be an advantage.
  • Experience of drainage design (WINDES or equivalent).
  • Experience of construction supervision.
  • Experience of local authority public realm scheme design.
  • Awareness of different contract types and procurement options.
