In the Service department, our focus is to provide our clients with high quality and best possible production of their wind power plants. With our long standing excellent track record and service experience globally, we work to ensure that we manage our clients' plants effectively to get the most out of each turbines while upholding to our commitment to safety standards.

  • Reporting to the Service Director, this Head of Aftermarket Spare Parts and Solution Sales & Operations will have the responsibilities for all sales of parts and repair and its operations. This includes responsibilities for all parts and upscale solution sales to the customers, daily operation, process development, AR collection, and sales and order fulfillment team management (seven person team), and accountability of P&L targets, and growing the customer relationship.
  • Manage sales managers in generating the parts sales, and repair sales business
  • Create the opportunities and manage the demand creation, as well as growing the business from the current installed base, and new accounts
  • Directly responsible for the execution of sales, delivery of parts, billing, and A/R, the entire value chain of aftermarket sales, and operations
  • Responsible for realizing the revenue and profit margins targets on a month by month basis
  • Provide consultative sales and technical support to the sales people within the aftermarket team, as well as the area service managers of O&M service
  • Keep management and stakeholders informed of progress and changes
  • Understand the customer decision making process
  • Develop close and positive relationships between key Vestas and key customer staff
  • Maximize the perceived value of Vestas services
  • Improve customer satisfaction
  • Manage every commercial contracts terms and conditions for execution, and compliance
  • Develop the necessary resource and systems for fulfilling contractual obligations
  • Responsible for leading the resources to achieve contractual obligations and P&L
  • Execute contract deliverables through employment of own resources and coordination with other departments where necessary.

  • Ensure the correct process and systems are in place to allow Vestas to safely execute our contractual obligations
  • Accountable for reaching P/L targets
  • Manage the execution of contractual obligations to achieve revenue targets
  • Manage costs to realize margin targets
  • Manage account receivables to achieve cashflow targets
  • Hire and manage staff to ensure we have the appropriate resources to execute contractual obligations and meet margin targets safely
  • Maintain a professional appearance and participate in positive team effort to achieve team and company goals
  • University degree in Engineering, and graduate degree in Business or related discipline
  • Qualification in engineering is desirable
  • Minimum 5-6 year power generation industry sales experience with a well-established multinational company in an industry with similar challenges
  • Good understanding of wind farm management is desirable
  • Good knowledge of managing full-cycle parts and repair sales
  • Excellent written and oral communication in Chinese and the ability to negotiate with the senior client executives
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Leadership and Business acumen
  • Ability to achieve credibility and influence decision making executives within customer account
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - able to manage high-level communication between Vestas and Customers

  • Excellent coordination and organization ability - able to coordinate resources and people both within Vestas and at customer site

  • Strong process and commercial contract management skill sets and experience

  • Strong preference for wind power industry experience, especially in the aftermarket and sales and WTG sales experience
  • Strong leadership capability in managing parts and repair sales and delivery, and cash collection
