Our Environmental Compliance Specialist (Air Quality) careers provide you with an opportunity to work on exciting environmental compliance projects onsite to support our commercial and Compliance Practice. Each day, as a project team member, you will develop skills in the field of environmental regulatory compliance under the guidance of senior staff and through multiple opportunities to work independently and with peers. You should be a self-motivated professional with 1-5 years of experience with environmental compliance activities for federal or industrial clients, have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering and a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental compliance specialist job. Background in air permitting preferred
Our Environmental Compliance Specialists (Air Quality):
• Develop knowledge and skills in wide variety of multi-media compliance (air quality, water/wastewater, and waste management) issues, projects including: industrial process engineering, regulatory compliance, pollution prevention, and air pollution compliance consulting services to industrial clients
• Travel to client locations to perform data collection; assist with preparing general compliance documents as well as develop, coordinate, and facilitate training courses and various meetings along with field studies and permitting of industrial facilities
• Have excellent organization skills and are able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and under deadline pressure
• Detail-oriented, able to follow instructions and to communicate with staff to understand assignments or seek clarification as necessary
• Work as part of a mentoring process and have assignments reviewed
Participate in field activities such as sampling and routine testing
• Have a strong desire to become a consultant (team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter that takes initiative, adaptable, along with a service mentality)
• Learn and understand the implications of environmental regulations to different clients and industries
• Demonstrate client service skills, including ability to support environmental compliance projects at client sites and in our internal teams
• Execute success on compliance projects on schedule and on budget
• Assist the clients in defining and accomplishing environmental compliance reporting needs and solution specifications/requirements
• Successfully tracking and implementation environmental compliance solutions

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • BA/BS Degree in Environmental Science, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering
  • Ability to travel 50%. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • 1 to 5 years of environmental consulting experience
  • 1 to 5 year of air quality experience
  • Basic awareness of federal environmental regulations
