As a results of ongoing and continued successes both within Malaysia and internationally, this global leader within the Oil & Gas Engineering Consulting company is recruiting a Marine Project Engineer to join their Malaysia Offshore Operations team.
About the job:
- There are several Marine related scope of work, upgrades and corrective maintenance works currently ongoing in FPSO and many of these jobs are confined to within the Engine room space. Some of the work are also on the topside and pump room space.Different 3rd party Contractors are assigned to each job scope. Coordinating and monitoring each Contractor manpower and their respective jobs in the engine room and some on the topside area is overwhelming and has become burdensome for the FPSO Operation crew.The Operation crew main duty of performing day to day operations of the FPSO system and processes as well as performing planned maintenance campaigns have begun to take a toll since a lot of their effort is now being channeled to monitoring and coordinating the various jobs being performed by the external Contractor.This situation has left the Operations crew having to divide their daily work time attending to external Contractor while performing their daily operations work. This situation has led to the crew being overwhelmed and stretched to a point where they are unable to focus on more important operational issues and regular planned maintenance works.
Scope of work:
- Incumbent shall be based onboard FPSO on a rotational tour of three (3) weeks-on and three (3) weeks-off.Incumbent shall be required to supervise and monitor all Marine & topside scope of works/projects/activity being executed in the Engine room, Pump room and on deck by various contractors assigned by the operations office.Incumbent shall attend to issues and or problem arising during contractor work execution onboard and help provide solution/mitigation as necessary and or as advised by onshore office.Incumbent shall be provided with an overall work schedule for each work scope in the Engine room/Pump room and Deck by Planner on regular basis.Incumbent shall keep Planner updated/informed on the progress of all activities so to enable Planner to update his Master Schedule concurrently.Incumbent shall be required to facilitate the issuance, implementation & validation of PTW as necessary.Incumbent shall report directly to the Maintenance Superintendent on work updates, technical issue, PTW and other work constraints.Incumbent shall end of the work day prepare/consolidate progress updates of all work activity for distribution to relevant party offshore and onshore.Incumbent shall attend tool-box meetings, JHA, PTW meeting and other important meeting with contractor as required and or as advised by OIM and Maintenance Supt. Incumbent shall be required to attend PTW meeting at the end of business day daily chaired by the OIM along with department heads
- Min 8 years relevant work experience with marine engineer system.Work in offshore facility in the past.Good communication skillsAvailable for work in MalaysiaAvailable to report work with short notice
