Contract Specialist - Contract Day Rate - Gladstone, QLD

Our client an integrated oil and gas major is seeking a Contract Specialist to work within their office located in Gladstone.

You will be required to provide dedicated support to company production operations.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.

Compiles and maintains manual or computerised records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.

Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.

Required Qualification Criteria:

Understands CP Standards and applies well-defined CP processes and is able to deal with routine deviations and amendments.

Understands the influence of good CP practice on value creation, control and safety performance.

Interacts confidently with peers internally and externally with representatives of suppliers and contractors.

Developing confidence in making presentations internally and participating in external negotiations.

Educated to degree level; preferable that candidate either has or is studying for membership of a relevant professional body (eg MCIPS, CPSM, MIIAPS).

Has a general understanding of Inventory Management, Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain & Warehousing.
