Job profile summary:
Responsible for managing a team to deliver safe, optimal and environmentally sound operations, whilst developing the team's technical capabilities and supporting continuous improvement of processes in all aspects of operations.

Role Synopsis
Day to day direction and prioritisation of the site-based teams to deliver safe, efficient and compliant operations through leadership of the site teams delivery of efficient execution of integrated activities and management of risks

Key Accountabilities
  • Accountable for safely executing work on BP Operated sites through implementing the Upstream CoW procedure.
  • Accountable for site adherence to the work management procedure
  • Accountable for site adherence to the Activity Integration procedure.
  • Leads active risk identification and management of operational, personal and process safety risks.
  • Manages operating performance against plan, including vulnerability and losses identification and management.
  • Manages organisational competence and capacity to safely execute activities including site emergency capability.
  • Manages and coaches a team of direct reports, driving the appropriate behaviours to achieve success, including a continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensures functional input into performance processes for those with functional deliverables. Identifies capability gaps and puts gap closure plans in place.
  • Contributes to development of operational plans to deliver on broader strategies, offering technical expertise where needed to ensure operational issues and constraints are proactively managed
  • Drives business management process for the installation through the requirements of OMS: including Self Verification, Continuous Improvement and contractual obligations (if applicable)
Essential Education
  • SVQ level 3/HNC or equivalent
  • OIM Regulations
  • Management of Major Emergency Training
  • Controlling Emergency Assessment to OPITO Standard
  • Site Manager Safety Critical Role Competency Assessment
  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain the relevant certification and medical clearance for travel offshore in the UKCS.
Essential experience and job requirements
  • Knowledge of hydrocarbon operations
  • Recent experience of working in or supporting a frontline operational environment.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong supervisory and leadership behaviours and competencies.
  • Clear and demonstrable knowledge and track record of HSE leadership.
  • Clear and demonstrable knowledge of integrity and process safety management.
  • Clear and demonstrable knowledge of all aspects of Control of Work
  • Detailed knowledge of local safety management systems.
  • Demonstrable delivery of safety management for process operations and have demonstrated personal commitment to safety.
